SalesOptima (a product of The Edge Group, LLC, “we,” “us,” or “our”) has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your privacy. This Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information gathered from visitors and customers of our website and services (“Site” and “Service”).

Collection

We require customers who register to use the Service to provide contact information, such as their name, company name, address, phone number, and email address, as well as financial qualification and billing information, such as billing name and address, credit card number, and the number of users within the organization that will be using the Service.

At the time you express interest in obtaining additional information, or when you register for the Service, we may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, department name, fax number, or additional company details such as annual revenues, number of employees, or industry. You can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked.

Customers can update or remove their personal information at any time by logging into the website and editing their profile within Settings.

Use of Information

SalesOptima uses the information we collect to set up the Service for individuals and their organizations. We may also use the information to contact customers to discuss their interest in our company and the Service, and to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events. Customer email addresses and personal information will not be distributed or sold to third parties.

Customers can opt out of being contacted by us at any time by sending an email to support@salesoptima.com.

Customers are also asked to provide an email address upon registration to receive account credentials. We may send service updates and newsletters to this address. Customers can opt out of receiving any communication by emailing support@salesoptima.com.

Except as explicitly stated at the time we request information, or as provided in the SalesOptima Master Subscription Agreement, we do not disclose customer information to third parties. All financial and billing information collected through the Site is used solely to qualify prospective customers and to bill for the Service.

We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Site and Service, such as hosting providers, payment processors, and analytics services. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Google User Data

If you choose to connect your Google account to SalesOptima, we may access certain Google user data as authorized by you, such as your name and email address, solely to provide and improve the features you have enabled. We do not use Google user data for advertising, to sell to third parties, or for any purpose unrelated to the functionality of our application. Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Limited Use of Google User Data

We do not use Google user data for:

  • Advertising purposes
  • Sale to third parties
  • Any purpose unrelated to the functionality of our application

We only use Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features in compliance with Google’s policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information, including any Google user data accessed through our application, only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law.

Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your active account with SalesOptima. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • Google user data (such as profile information or email address obtained via Google OAuth) is retained only for the period needed to provide the services you requested. We do not retain Google user data beyond the scope or duration of your active use of those features.
  • Usage and log data may be retained for up to 12 months for security, debugging, and performance improvement purposes.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@salesoptima.com. Upon a verified deletion request, we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days. Note that some residual data may remain in backups for a limited time before being purged in the normal course of our backup rotation.

 

Hosting of Customer Data

Customers of the Service may use the Site to host data and information (“Data”). SalesOptima will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as provided in the Master Subscription Agreement or as required by law. Individual records may be accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the Agreement, or as required by law.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user credentials.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@salesoptima.com.

Cookies

When you visit our Site, our server may send a cookie to your computer. Cookies are files that web browsers place on your device and are used to recognize returning visitors and improve the browsing experience. Cookies alone do not identify you personally — they recognize your browser.

We use session cookies to uniquely identify you while you are logged in, which allows us to process your online transactions and requests. We use persistent cookies to recognize returning customers. We do not store account numbers or passwords in persistent cookies.

Notification will be provided without unreasonable delay and will include a description of the incident, the types of data involved, and the steps we are taking in response.
